 Team Leader(s)

Reporting directly to the Group Leader, within the operational area, you would have responsibility for leading, motivating and ensuring a team of Warehouse Operatives and MHE Drivers provide the highest standards satisfying all key stakeholder requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing activities to ensure focus remains on timed deliveries
  • Manpower planning
  • Assigning tasks to the team
  • Carrying out daily briefs
  • Providing business information to key stakeholders
  • Setting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Maintaining updated KPI records for analysis
  • Liaising with internal and external customers
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing team members, ensuring relevant training is provided
  • Assist with developing processes, techniques and tools
  • Shop Floor Management presentation
  • Dealing with any shop floor issues as and when required
  • Strive for team consensus
  • Serve as a focal point of communication
  • Resolving interface and integration issues with other team
  • Promoting Lean Management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills.
  • Good computer knowledge, including Warehouse Management systems.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and motivation skills.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Broad operations knowledge gained in a warehouse / distribution environment.
  • Proven leadership experience

Group Leader(s)

Are you ready to move into a Leadership role?

We welcome applications from those who believe they have the ability to support the Senior Operations Manager with the day-to-day management of an area.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Managing Team Leaders, ensuring an efficient operation is delivered.
  • Oversee the manpower planning process to ensure there are sufficient resources to complete tasks.
  • Co-ordinating workloads and providing support to ensure that the team delivers whilst monitoring any issue.
  • Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams.
  • Research, discuss and implement changes to the warehouse layout as and when required.
  • Set daily and weekly targets and reviewing planned vs actual.
  • Ensuring all KPI’s are reported on time, writing reports, proposals and presentations.
  • Carrying out daily briefs and communicate the Company’s performance.
  • Preparing Shop Floor Management board for the area and present when scheduled alongside Team Leaders.
  • Conduct regular reviews with direct reports including one to ones, appraisals and T&A.
  • Provide training to team in order to ensure process adherence throughout.
  • Assisting Senior Operations Manager in the delivery of business decisions and instructions to influence immediate change in a positive manner to support the running of the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft skills.
  • Planning & organising skills.
  • Business/Commercial awareness.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate team members.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interests of the business.

  • Understanding of lean processing / Six Sigma

VDU Operator - Stock Team

Would you like to make use of your administration skills?

This role could be for you!

Our Stock Team have a vacancy for someone who would like to get involved with assisting the Stock Controller in all areas relating to inventory control.  Being part of a motivated and successful team you would be involved with ensuring the company maximizes the use of the stock systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Being the first line response, either by phone or email, to any operational questions
  • Escalating any questions or queries to the Stock Controller as and when required
  • Ensuring a high standard of accuracy in all data entry tasks
  • Creating and presenting reports using database and spreadsheets
  • Validating stock integrity
  • Updating and maintain a task log, ensuring all tasks are performed within the timeframe
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant processes and communication guidelines

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft  Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Precise and accurate attention to details
  • Good standard of education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SAP knowledge is advantageous

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of working in an office and warehouse environment
  • Previous administration and data entry experience
  • Good planning and organising knowledge

MHE Instructor

Due to our continued success and growth within our MHE team, we now have a vacancy that needs to be filled by an experienced MHE Instructor who holds either RTITB or ITSAR (or similar) certificates and accreditation.

This is a pivotal position as the successful candidate will need to provide safe and efficient training and ensuring that employees are trained to the correct standards in line with current legislation.  Responsibilities would include:

  • Have a full understanding of the MHE company training requirements
  • Training MHE candidates to legislative capability levels
  • Complete paperwork and record all training as per the company processes and standards
  • Input all training records onto the database and ensuring these are accurate
  • Ensuring all training has been completed to plan
  • Assist with monitoring the safe MHE operations within the business guidelines
  • Carry out reassessments following incidents and/or accidents

Skills and Qualifications

  • RTITB-ITSAR or similar certificate and accreditation - Essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good motivational and influential skills
  • Computer literate

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience of MHE instruction and assessment within a fast paced environment
  • Good knowledge of law and regulations surrounding MHE operating
  • Excellent planning and organising knowledge
