‘Wear it Pink’
16th April 2013
In 2011 wear it pink raised £2.2 million for breast cancer research - an amazing effort that brings the ten-year total up to a staggering £22 million. 2012 was the 10th anniversary for the wear it pink fundraising campaign, and the organisation anticipates that it will break the £25 million barrier into 2013.
Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive proudly directly raised and donated a sum of £75 to the campaign. As part of a collective alongside neighbouring Lichfield based companies, over £150 was donated to the ‘Wear it Pink’ fund raising program.
The ‘Wear it Pink’ fundraising program is a registered part of the Breast Cancer Campaign, with specific focus towards Pink Science – a pioneering approach to breast cancer research that funds projects with the greatest potential to save and improve lives, and ultimately find a cure.
The Breast Cancer Campaign Tissue Bank is an example of this innovative and unique approach. The UK’s first national breast cancer tissue bank is a unique collaboration with four leading research institutions to create a vital resource of breast cancer tissue for researchers across the UK and Ireland.
