Highly Commended: Cristina Berke and Paulina Domaros

While Cristina and Paulina didn’t walk away with prizes this time, their consistency and commitment were integral to the success of this initiative. Both came just short of the winners and demonstrated dedication that should not go unnoticed. Their efforts remind us that the drive for safety excellence is not just about the top performers but the consistent contributions from everyone in the organisation.

Why This Matters

This initiative was more than just about winning; it was about building a culture where safety is ‘front of mind’ at all times. The work of each participant—whether they were submitting near-miss reports, engaging in safety observations, or completing training—has contributed to a stronger, more resilient workplace. The Vanguard Forge Safety Leaders Initiative serves as a glimpse into the future of what’s to come at Plant Oxford, a workplace where safety isn’t an afterthought but a core value.

As we move forward, we remain committed to creating a culture where safety is integral to everything we do. This means holding ourselves to highest possible standards, maintaining consistent efforts, and ensuring that safety continues to be a shared responsibility across the organisation. It's not just about one-time initiatives; it's about building lasting habits and practices that will continue to protect and support our employees, clients, and partners.

What’s Next?

Looking ahead, we’re excited to take the next steps in recognising and learning from our safety champions. We will be organising face-to-face sessions with the winners to celebrate their achievements and learn from their experiences. Invitations will be sent out soon—be sure to stay tuned!

Moreover, we’re already thinking about how to make 2025 even more successful, we will be hosting a lessons-learned session to gather your feedback and insights. Together, we’ll continue to improve our initiatives, ensuring they work for everyone and make a lasting impact on safety.

Workplace Safety is a Collective Effort

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Q4 2024 Vanguard Forge Safety Leaders Initiative.
