Spotlight on... Keven Daly, Senior Operations Manager
When did you start working for Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive and what motivated you to join?
I began my career at Rudolph & Hellmann in 2008
A good school friend of mine was working for RHA at the time, recommended the company to me and advised there were opportunities available within the shift Management.
How has your career within Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive progressed? What positions have you previously held within the Company since you started?
My initial role was as Shift Manager (based at RHA Oxford operation), progressing to Operational Systems Development & Implementation Manager. I have recently been promoted to Senior Operations Manager.
My prime objective in my current role is to improve systems and logic to accommodate/implement change to fulfil the logistical requirements of our customers.
How has the experience that you have gained working within Rudolph and Hellmann helped you establish yourself in your current role in Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive at Oxford?
Being in from the start of a new logistics enterprise and applying my experience as a practical & logical problem solving Manager, I recognise that a statistical and logical approach is the basis of a lean, productive and effective logistics business.
How do you feel your experience in the automotive industry helps you to help customers deliver their Logistics requirements on a day to day basis?
Drive, enthusiasm and experience of the logistics team has shown me that flexibility, passion, process and a practical approach will ensure customer satisfaction.
What do you enjoy most about your role with Rudolph and Hellmann? What is your favourite project at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive and why?
I have been extremely lucky to be part of such a dynamic team throughout my career at RHA. I was an integral part of the team which secured the current contract here at Plant Oxford and instigating the initial stages of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) throughout RHA.
The most enjoyable thing is being part of RHA’s logistical future.
What other Automotive Manufacturing sites have you worked at within Rudolph and Hellmann? What experience did you gain?
Due to my roles within RHA I have been able to work/visit every site. This has given me the opportunity to see individual environments, ensuring when evaluating new projects and implementing changes to RHA systems etc... I can be certain the correct solution is utilised.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time –any hobbies?
Typical testosterone thing for me, speed on either 2 or 4 wheels with nothing coming the other way, so track days are the highlight of my year. I like going to the gym 5 nights a week... I also love DIY!
Any interesting facts you would like to share?
The universe is an ever expanding thing, so Logistics can only get bigger!!
