Spotlight On... David Cawser, Accounts Assistant
When did you start working for Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive and what attracted you to the company?
My career began at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive in March this year as an Accounts Assistant working on the Purchase Ledger.
The role is completely different to anything I have ever done before; up to this point I was a fully qualified carpenter building kitchens and bedrooms. I have always been interested in accountancy and began studying at evening college after work. I was looking for a new opportunity when I saw the job advertised, and the rest is history.
I am relishing the new challenges of my role and learning new skills. Being a part of the finance team at Head Office is very interesting and I love it. I am learning something new every day; I have just been made the Fire Marshall after recently completing the course.
What do you do in your spare time and have you got any good DIY tips?
Having a lovely wife and three children, my time at weekends and after work is hectic. My wife has just completed her degree, I study and do carpentry at the weekends but we manage to squeeze in bike riding and walking my massive fox red Labrador.
“A good DIY Tip, when sawing wood, wet the saw first and it will cut through the wood more easily and makes the job quicker”
