When did you start working for Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive and what motivated you to join? How has your career progressed since?
I was looking for a role in an accounting office and Rudolph and Hellmann provided me with the perfect opportunity for to do this. Since starting at Rudolph and Hellmann I have completed the AAT qualification, I have also progressed from being an Accounts Assistant to being Financial Accountant.
What previous Accounting/Logistics experience do you have? How did this help you establish yourself in your current role as a Finance Manager at Lichfield?
When I first start working with Rudolph and Hellmann I had no previous knowledge of working in accounts or logistics, the experience gained with working alongside the operation and accounts teams has been invaluable and has enabled me to develop into the position I currently hold within the company.
How do you feel your experience helps Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive deliver a quality service to its customers? What do you think sets Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive aside from its competitors?
I believe that having key people with experience still working for us helps Rudolph and Hellmann compete in the logistics market currently. I believe that we have the expertise to think outside of the box and offer unique solutions where possible.
What do you enjoy most about your role with Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive?
I enjoy dealing with customers and working alongside the finance team at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive. I am part of a hard working team in which everyone gets on well with each other; there is always a good atmosphere in the office which makes it a lot easier to work.
Hobbies and Pastimes?
The main sport I follow is football, I support West Bromwich Albion, I also cycle to work every day, unless the weather is shockingly bad, and I play squash regularly too.
What is your favourite project that you have previously worked on at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive and why?
Working as part of the team on the main tender that we responded to in 2009 for a well-known German automotive manufacturer’s on-site production logistics operation. It was stressful but enjoyable and I believe the knowledge gained during that experience has helped to enhance myself.
Anything unusual or interesting you want to divulge?
I was once a mascot for West Bromwich Albion when I was younger. I love the team that much I’d even do it again now if I was given the chance!!
