Redevelopment delivers 90% increase in capacity
There’s always a better way, it just depends how much you want to change.
Two heads are better than one!
When one of our major clients invited us to get involved in the planning and design stage of their facilities - we knew our combined experience and expertise would pay dividends. Working together we could explain the benefits in designing the layout based upon the optimum levels each area and process could deliver.
Executing the plan
To eliminate any chance of disruption to the business the changes were planned to take place over two weekends and were completed with a day to spare.
Reaping the rewards
Applying changes to the way goods are received has now given us the capability to deliver a 24 hour operation. Plus we have realigned all inbound dock times and communicated this to the carriers so we have a smoother inbound / outbound flow. the re designed areas has seen an overall increase in capacity of 90% enabling it now to hold all raw materials in a single location.
The consolidation has resulted in a significant cost saving to our customer.
“As always, a project of this magnitude only runs smoothly with good planning, communication and execution. Our client is extremely pleased with the results and I want to personally thank the Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive team for the highest degree of professionalism throughout the projects implementation.”
Martin Rollings, Managing Director UK Operations, Rudolph & Hellmann Automotive
