R&HA Contract Award
11th June 2020
Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive are delighted to announce the award of another third-party contracts for provision of ‘on-site production logistics’ services, to a major automotive OEM in the UK.
In return, the OEM will receive a commercially flexible logistics solution with strong proven operational performance and significant guaranteed cost improvement benefits. The 9-month tender process involved a number of technical and commercial competency stages in which we we’re able to prove ourselves. The competitive bid process saw R&HA supported by the Rudolph Logistics Group (RLG) utilise our specialty in operations, method-times-measurement (MTM), process design, cost analysis, continuous improvement process and project management.
R&HA proposed several process improvements, working shift patterns, employee benefits, structural changes and Shop Floor Management principles. It means R&HA has retained the ‘on-site production logistics’ contract for the OEM for the past 8 years and are on the cards to continue working with the automotive manufacturer for a further 6. Having been awarded the contract is only the first step to achieving our goals. In the next two months we want now to build and solid and stable foundation to improve from.
Jimmy Hamilton, UK Business Strategy Director:
“We are absolutely delighted with this current acquisition as this contract holds a significant strategic position for us here in the UK in these challenging times, the award of this prestigious contract helps build on our already proud heritage in the automotive sector”.
