Developing a central resource is a key milestone in the Vision

Since becoming the CEO of Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive, I've had a vision on what the future of the organisation should be. I shared this vision with our parent companies and they have been extraordinarily supportive. Working with the leadership team we've set-out an action plan to deliver it, and earlier this year we took on offices at Podium to grow our Tender Support Team. As you would imagine we are a very lean operation, and although we have offices in Lichfield where our Business Development Team are located, tapping in to the expertise we have has always proved challenging.

 

And what a team we have!

We have a world-class production logistics team who are regularly called upon to support our parent companies clients on specialist projects. Their onsite line feed and supply chain logistics knowledge, gained from working within the fasted paced world of automotive logistics is second to none. We have an exceptional track record, boasting the longest continuous contract at Plant Oxford, we're the most experienced ‘model change’ 3PL and the first UK logistics company to work with SAP S/4 HANA amongst our many accolades.

 

The move to Podium ensures we have the time to work 'on the business'

Podium is located just a mile away from Plant Oxford, it provides the leadership team with an environment where we can begin to develop and grow a central resource independent of any client contract. This serves multiple purposes, it means we have strength in depth to support our existing contracts. It also means we have the space and time away from the coalface to work more closely with the BDM's. Finally, it gives us the opportunity to progress the development of our key people. This central team has already been 'parachuted in' to various organisations to troubleshoot and support their wider supply chain optimisation programmes - and has proven to be a highly efficient resource. As our team continues to grow, we are widening our focus to UK manufacturing operations and developing a service package to help them deliver efficiencies, reduce operational costs and become more competitive.
