IOSH Safeguards against potential Health & Safety risks
5th December 2011
As an employer it’s our responsibility to ensure the relevant skills, knowledge and all employees adhere to safe working practices. As a supplier, we need to provide customers with the assurance that we take every measure to mitigate unnecessary diversions and interruptions to the manufacturing process.
As customer's requirements often change within short timescales it is imperative that key members of management have the skills to both revise on-site logistics processes and ensure staff work safely to minimise accidents and damage. This is why Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive’s management and supervisor level employees attended the IOSH (Institute Of Safety and Health) ‘Managing Safety’ course.
Every employee on the course undertakes a structured approach to the identification of hazards, the investigation of accidents, measuring performance and raising awareness. This means we take every step to ensure that the people under our control operate in a safe but highly effective way whilst conducting tasks within the customers manufacturing site.
The whole model supports all of Rudolph and Hellmann’s commitment to quality logistics service provision alongside its customer’s ever-changing production requirements and commitment to ensure its employees are working to take responsibility for health & safety in the working environment.
