Congratulations Sorin

Sorin has been appointed to take on the role as Health & Safety Manager, and returns to R&HA after two years as a Health and Safety Consultant.

Sorin started as a warehouse operative in 2015

After 6 years service in the Romanian Army, Sorin arrived in the UK and took a role as warehouse operative and reach truck driver with Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive at BMW Group Plant Oxford. Within a year he was promoted to Team Leader and within the next two he’d achieved the position of Health & Safety Team Leader. This put him on a career path within the world of health and safety and by December 2019, he was promoted to the role of Health & Safety Officer for R&HA. Sorin exemplifies the 'Home Grown Timber' approach Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive are renowned for. After three years in the role Sorin advanced his career once again by taking on a role outside R&HA as a Health & Safety Consultant with a nationwide practice providing Health & Safety and Employment Law Services.

I'm delighted to have returned to Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive

I still have many friends here and my career in Health and Safety was inspired by the opportunities presented to me whilst working at Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive. It was during my first year with the business I became interested in Health & Safety, and became aware of the career opportunities. What I love about R&HA is their attitude and encouragement to help people grow. No matter what role you're in, if you have the desire to develop your skills you will be provided opportunities as and when they present themselves. Having left the business and worked as a consultant, I visited many businesses and have an even greater appreciation that this isn't always the case.

Taking over from Aubrey means we have continuity of culture

Having worked with Aubrey within my time at R&HA, I know the processes, systems and culture is in great shape. Which means the onboarding has been fairly painless and the role is more of a transition of manager rather than a radical review and assessment. There have been changes within the operations during my time away, plus the constantly changing landscape of compliance and legislation, so these have required more attention. All in all though, the team here are largely the same people as when I moved on two years ago - so it's great to be back.
