A seamless move into new logistics hub
When a customer made a substantial investment in a state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics facility, Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive ensured there was no disruption to the production line during the transition.
The official opening of a 250,000 square foot hub in Warwickshire in August 2015 marked the successful completion of RHA’s year-long project for an automotive manufacturer.
“We first began working with this client in 2014,” explained RHA Managing Director and Company Secretary Jeff Hyde. “We have delivered some significant projects for them and this warehouse relocation shows there is a commitment to work together. The move was seamless as far as they were concerned, it had to be!
RHA employs 86 vehicle, warehouse and office staff at the new hub. The teams ensure efficient transportation, storage and monitoring of inbound supplies. Components are kitted and sequenced as required and despatched direct to the relevant fit point at the customer’s manufacturing base.
“What happened here wasn’t new to us,” said Managing Director Mark Cranidge. “We have carried out moves like this before for clients. This was our third relocation and we have managed other projects where new warehouses have been reconfigured.”
General Manager Paul Byrne added: “The smooth transition and the ongoing success of this contract are testament to the hard work of the project team who work tirelessly to ensure successful and timely delivery. The whole workforce have supported and embraced the change.”
