2024 Carbon Neutral Confirmed!

We are able to declare our Head Office at Lichfield as carbon neutral.

Carbon offset credits plus other measures now in place

Our total carbon emissions have been calculated for Head Office, our Oxford contract and based upon our total emissions for 2023. A Qualifying Explanatory Statement (QES) contains details of our emissions and how our appointed Carbonology consultants have calculated them. This plan has been agreed by our CEO, James Hamilton, and our Finance Director, Paul Brown. We now have the green light to commit to the QES and adopt the actions set out which includes using three projects to offset our carbon footprint. The full QES has been updated and has been published on our website.

Environmental, Social and Governance

R&HA commenced the road to a sustainable future in 2022.

This includes conducting an ESG risk rating benchmarking assessment, followed by an ESG materiality assessment, to highlight our main areas of sustainability improvement. Prioritisation of the key areas then created our roadmap, in accordance with the worldwide ESG guidelines.

R&HA are currently registered on the CDP ESG public assessment survey, for two areas – including climate change and water security.

R&HA’s UK carbon footprint, in line with 18064 carbon mapping methodology, is currently estimated at 2,500 tCO2e (Tonnes CO2 Equivalent).

R&HA’s Head Office carbon footprint calculated at 56.91 tCO2e. This has been off-set against the purchase of carbon credits resulting in Head Office achieving ‘carbon neutrality’ in line with the PAS 2060 standard requirements!
