106th SMMT Annual Dinner

Rudolph and Hellmann were delighted to be represented at arguably the automotive sectors most prestigious annual events.

The Annual Dinner provides a chance to reflect

The last 12 months have provided a great boost to the team at Rudolph and Hellmann, winning Business of the Year at the prestigious Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards was a great start. Working as pioneers on the implementation at the MINI Plant in Oxford, helped create a blueprint for process digitisation of automotive plants of the future. And finally, the announcement of BMW Group's investment to transform MINI Plant Oxford to an all-electric production site.

After dinner speaker gave food for thought

Rt Hon Rory Stewart OBE was the after-dinner speaker for this year’s event. Before serving as a cabinet minister, and making a widely-praised contribution to the Conservative Party leadership contest, Rory governed two Iraqi provinces, set up a charity, trekked across Afghanistan and lectured at Harvard. Together with Alastair Campbell, he hosts the podcasts The Rest is Politics and Leading. Given the forthcoming General Election, his insights were perceptive and of course laced with humour.

The perfect launch platform for expanded onsite manufacturing logistics

The event was ideal timing for the launch of an expanded service proposition to UK manufacturers. Recognised as the UK's leading onsite logistics providers dedicated to the automotive sector. The service proposition has been expanded to incorporate any large scale UK based manufacturers. This follows a growing recognition within UK manufacturing that there are eight key elements to making a great product and 50% of them are strongly influenced by logistics. However, onsite logistics in most manufacturing facilities has blurred boundaries with the manufacturing process. Flexible outsourced onsite manufacturing logistics with adaptive pricing provides a fresh approach to making businesses leaner and more competitive.
