Graduate Logistics Trainee/Logistics Trainee

Oxford

This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a very fast paced and ambitious company. Rudolph & Hellmann Automotive deals with prestigious automotive companies in providing quality logistics and warehousing services. We are a very fast growing company and are keen to give early responsibility to develop the right people quickly. Within our own ambitious expansion plans this is an exciting company to work for with lots of opportunities in the future for successful graduates.

2-3 placement opportunities have become available, to work within the areas of projects/operations within the company.
The successful applicant will be involved heavily in various aspects of the optimisation of existing logistics operations, looking at reducing costs and improving our overall service. Currently Rudolph and Hellmann Automotive provide JIT logistics services to a number of world-renowned automotive manufacturers in the UK. The successful individual should look to become a key member of this experienced team.

Within the projects to which they will be assigned, the intern will be expected to 'hit the ground running' reporting to both the operational and business development management team. The intern will be expected to learn and apply concepts such as Six-Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, Quality, 5S, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies all through the application of IT and logistics re-engineering tools.
 

Essential Skills

High standard of Word/PowerPoint/Excel
Ability to deal with people at all levels
Confident and assertive and able to deal with disagreements and still argue their case
Motivated


Desirable Skills

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Understanding of basic logistics principles

Would suit graduates from the following or related degrees: Business, Finance, Accountancy, Logistics, Maths, or highly numerate degrees. Any discipline would be considered to the right individual.
